History

In Freixedas Vinícola we are very proud of our history, although the current management is active since 1995, the company was founded in... 1918! Yes, we have more than 100 years of history with 4 generations of the Freixedas family.
It was the great-grandfather José Freixedas who created the company, then it passed into the hands of Manuel Freixedas, the grandfather of the current administrator. Over time, Manuel Freixedas son continued the family business, but, sadly, he died in 1990 when his daughter, Marta Freixedas, was 24 years old.
Despite her relatively young age to be at the helm of a company, Marta decided to continue with the business and write her own history in a sector - and a world - in which it was not yet common for a woman to run a company. To succeed, the Freixedas partnered with the Lluch family who also had experience in the wine sector. This partnership continues to this day.
Currently, the administration of Freixedas Vinícola is formed by a team of 5 people, we like to say that we are a small team that has achieved great things.
